Tonight I’ll be debuting my new musical project The New York Cycle at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. TNYC is me, Jody Shelton (Jody Shelton Band) and Peter Gwinn (The Colbert Report) — each month we’re writing a brand new 30 minute musical inspired by a different part of New York City. So far we have found this to be both easier and more difficult than you might think.… Tonight’s show, TNYC: Times Square, features tourists, scientologists, caricaturists, and — like all good musicals — love.

Also tonight, the short film I starred in is screening as part of the Friars Club Comedy Film Festival. If you’re going to the festival (which sounds pretty great — lots of fascinating panels and screenings and junk) look for Boo!

This week my friend Victor Varnado was interviewed on the podcast In The Tank with John Fisch. They talked about writing jokes, doing Conan, and Victor’s new comedy film, Awkward Kings (I saw a taping, it is hilarious, you will love it), coming to Comedy Central soon. I especially loved the end of the podcast where I got a shout out for writing his favorite joke. Yay me, yay Victor!
