Alzheimers — still.

Last year I walked with Glennis and her sister in the Alzheimers Memory Walk, to raise money for her father. He is 63 and already in the late stages of early-onset Alzheimers, which is really fucking unfair. A lot of you awesome people donated and helped us raise a bunch of money, but sadly it wasn’t enough to buy off Alzheimers. Its still around, affecting 5.2 million Americans. So Glennis is putting together a team and walking again on Sunday.

One in three of us will face Alzheimers in an older family member.
Whenever I need to know what computer to buy, I call my father. When I need to remember how to make ginger ale, I call my father. When I move into a new apartment, I fight with my father about where to hang the pictures and then do it my way anyway. Glennis can’t do that stuff with her dad, and it breaks my heart.

But hey — that’s life right? People get old and sick and eventually everyone dies. But life is also helping people who need your help, and supporting each other through shitty stuff. We’d both really appreciate it if you did that — either by donating enough money to finance billions of dollars of research or by giving just enough to show you care.

Donate here.
Last year I gave and walked for a friend with early onset Alzheimers. But this year I’m giving for my Dad. Because he doesn’t have Alzheimers and I’m so lucky he’s still healthy enough to fight over what color I paint my walls. I want to keep it that way.

If you know someone with Alzheimers, please donate.
If you a lucky enough to not have been affected by Alzheimers yet, donate.
If you just like I Eat Pandas and have seen our shows for FIVE MEASLEY DOLLARS, definitely donate.
