YAT — the Year of Awesome Things, in which I vow to do something awesome every week. This was another super busy week, so it was hard to fit in the impressive events. Scale down your expectations now — I still haven’t fired a gun or broken a wild horse.…
Frost Nixon on Broadway — Holy shit was this a good play. We sat in the front row, which made it difficult for me to keep from putting my low-rent feet on the stage or grabbing at the actors’ jackets. Frank Langella is amazing — he made Nixon fascinating and real…and almost animal. Most good performers make out with their audience — Frank Langella might have gotten me pregnant. Through my ear. The rest of the cast was great too — especially Michael Sheen, but blah blah blah, I’m not telling you anything you can’t read in a more legitimate review. Trust me — it was awesome. (And no, you don’t have to care about Nixon at all to like it — I didn’t.)
The rest of the week was scattered jobs, rehearsals, and too too many comedy shows.
But allow me to direct your attention to next week’s Awesome Thing:
